My ResOILution - Day 28

Today's My ResOILution tip will be our last in these series,
thanks so much for following along this month!

If you're feeling brave, go ahead and add a drop of Thieves to your toothbrush tonight. Remember that Thieves is a hot oil, so it might feel a bit intense on your lips or tongue, but it will leave your teeth feeling SO clean. This is my first line of defense when I feel that I might have something coming on.

My ResOILution - Day 26

Toady's My ResOILution tip is to add a few drops of Purification to your diffuser to eliminate smells in your home.  We had steamed broccoli with our dinner tonight, which you know is great for eating, but NOT so great for smelling long after dinner is done.  Enter : Purification.

Purification is one of the 11 oils included in the Premium Starter Kit.  Looking to purchase an individual bottle?  It's currently out of stock, so try Lemongrass in it's place!

My ResOILution - Day 20

Today's MyResOILution tip is to add 5-10 drops Copaiba to some Epsom salts and relax those muscles in a bath.  Last night was our first night out skiing for the winter, and a warm, relaxing bath is sounding *really* nice right about now!

The Epsom salt not only gives the oil something to "cling" to, but the benefits of Epsom salt baths have been well-known for hundreds of years - look it up to learn more for yourself!

My ResOILution - Day 18

How about making your own Lavender room spray?
Or a linen spray that you can spray on your pillow before you sleep?

Add a pinch of salt (to give hte oil something to "cling" to) and 15 drops Lavender, then fill the remainder of the bottle with water.

Amazon + Abundant Health are both great sources for glass bottles.

My ResOILution - Day 15

Today's My ResOILution tip is to add a few drops of Frankincense to your diffuser tonight while you sleep.  It smells heavenly and can be SO calming too.

My ResOILution - Day 13

Today's #myResOILution tip is to rub a few drops of Thieves oil onto the bottoms of your feet, either this morning or tonight before bed.  Our feet have vitaflex points (Google it, it's fascinating!) and applying oils to them is a very effective way to suport our various body systems.

We use roller bottles for just about everything in our family, including our immune-boosting rollers, which we apply every morning to the bottoms of our feet.

Here's our immune-boosting roller recipe:
apx 15 drops Thieves
apx 15 drops Lemon
apx 10 drops Frankincense
apx 5 drops Oregano
top off roller bottle with fractionated (liquid) coconut oil

My ResOILution - Day 12

Today's My ResOILution tip is to ditch those toxic dryer sheets and try Lavender Essential oil dropped on wool dryer balls instead.  I purchase my dryer balls off Amazon, and a set lasts me about 6 months.

Don't have wool dryer balls?  Add a few drops of Lavender to a rag and try that instead!

My ResOILution - Day 11

Today, go ahead and pull out your bottle of RC (included in the Premium Starter Kit) and add a few drops to your diffuser.  RC is so beneficial for respiratory health, which I know many people struggle with during the cold winter months.

Just as soon as we notice that one of our kids might be coming down with something, we add RC or Thieves to their nighttime diffusers (added to the Lavender we always use at night!)

My ResOILution - Day 10

Oh Purification, you smell so wonderful.

Purification is best known for its ability to eliminate odors.  A few easy options are to add it to your diffuser to freshen up your kitchen after a meal, add a drop to a cotton ball and place it in your (stinky) gym shoes, or put a drop or two on wool dryer balls in your laundry.
One of the first things I did when I started with essential oils was eliminate dryer sheets and begin using wool dryer balls instead.  (I get mine on Amazon, and a set should last about 6 months)  Go ahead and Google dryer sheets if you want to know why eliminating them from your home is so important.

Both of my kids have always had sensitive skin, so eliminating dryer sheets + using Young Living's Thieves Laundry Soap leaves me feeling *much* better about what I'm exposing their skin to.

My ResOILution - Day 9

Did you make a New Year's Resolution to exercise more? And are your muscles feeling it now?  Consider massaging 1-2 drops Panaway mixed with a carrier oil into your muscles, especially post-workout.
We keep this tray on our nightside table with oils.
The Ortho Ease is always there, the PanAway is for days when early morning boot camp has me feeling a little achy by evening.

Lavender + Northern Lights Black Spruce are our current favorites in our diffuser.

My ResOILution : Day 8

On our 8th day of the My ResOILution series, let's talk about a non-starter kit oil : Eucalyptus Blue.  Have you tried it??  Adding 1-2 drops in a carrier oil and applied topically over your chest and back area can help support the respiratory system.

AND,
my Essential Families team is currently giving away a bottle!

My ResOILution - Day 7

It's Day 7 of our My ResOILution series, and today is all about DiGize. Upset tummy? Try applying a few drops to your abdomen, or adding a couple of drops to some honey and swallowing it down. I'll be honest, the smell and taste of this one is *not* my favorite, so if you're like me, you can consider adding a few drops to a capsule and swallowing it down that way.
And oh my goodness, this was our dinner tonight.  YOu know that restaurant you love where the food is SO good, but just so bad too?!  If you found yourself eating out tonight, and feeling a bit like I do right now, DiGize is for you.

My ResOILution - Day 6

Here me on this, Frankincense is awesome for your skin.
Today, go ahead and massage a drop or two into your skin after washing your face.  I personally apply it neat (undiluted), but if you are are prone to very sensitive skin, go ahead and mix it with a carrier oil like Fractionated (liquid) Coconut oil first, or combine it with your face cream prior to applying.
And I just had to throw that Essential Beauty Serum in there because it.is.amazing.  I've been using it only a month or two and can't get enough of it (as I'm now noticing the bottle is already half empty, oops!)

My ResOILution - Day 5

School is back in session, and apparently so is sickness.  Goodness, I know of way too many families passing it from one member to the next right now.

When people ask me what they can do to prevent or stop it, Thieves is hands down the first oil that comes to mind.  Try applying this oil to the bottoms of feet to boost immune systems (a roller is a great way to go!) and diffuse daily before and after school too.
If you were visiting our home around 4:12 in the afternoon (right when my daughter walks in the door after school), I can just about guarantee a few things:

1. I'm telling my daughter to wash her hands before heading past our back entryway.

2.  Our diffuser is running with Thieves in it (and sometimes I add oils such as Orange to mix it up)

While I can't guarantee total health as a result of using essential oils, I can tell you that my family is on our second sickness-free winter, and I don't think it's a coincidence.  These small, daily proactive things we do have made a world of difference for us.

If you're tired of dealing with sickness and are ready to be more proactive with your health, email me at jill.meulenberg@gmail.com, and I'll send some information your way!

My ResOILution - Day 4

Feeling a little stressed about today?  Open up a bottle of Stress Away and apply to your wrists, shoulders or neck for a calming effect.  I keep a roller top on my Stress Away bottle which makes it extra easy to apply.

Stress Away is a blend of Copaiba, Lime, Cedarwood, Vanilla, Ocotea + Lavender.  I've yet to meet someone who doesn't looove the smell of this oil!
I keep a bottle of Stress Away right in my purse, and often apply it as my perfume, simply because I like the scent that much.  One morning a week I teach Bible STudy, which to be honest takes me waaaay out of my comfort zone.  So I always say a little prayer + a swipe of this on my wrists before heading in for that extra calm I'm in need of.

My ResOILution - Day 3

It's Day 3 of our My ResOILution Series, and today go ahead and get out your Peppermint Oil. Peppermint is so useful for aiding digestion. If you eat a little too much today, (or maybe too much of the wrong thing), try a drop of Peppermint on your abdomen, or in a cup of tea to calm that tummy down.
Peppermint is one oil that I *always* have in my purse for when an upset tummy starts, but when I'm at home, I add it to my tea.  (Don't hate, but no coffee for me thankyouverymuch!)

I add one drop to the tea bag before adding it to the hot water, as it gives the oil something to "cling" to.  Do you have a favorite type of tea you drink?  I'm always looking for new, yummy ones!
