Happy Friday, all!
Here's a peek at our week...
snow day pajama wearing + PBS watching
and, of course, a full nano-second after I took this they were jumping on the couch!
the way this boy plays has been changing by leaps and bounds recently.
this was the first time I caught him actually building with his Duplos
#proudmama
happiness = finding one last jar of our peaches from summer in the back of the pantry
oh, if you could just see the back of his mouth right now.
I'm pretty certain every.single.tooth is coming in at once.
poor buddy!
 pictures on my night stand.
Feeling so grateful for this life I've been given.
at 15 months old, this boy is far too busy to cuddle.
Therefore, I have no shame taking him from his crib and just holding him while he sleeps.
Princess Claire off to her first royal ball!
future heart-breaker (because he's all mine!)

We've got a long weekend coming up, yessss!
AND, Monday is Eric's birthday.  The kids and I have a few things planned, should be fun!

Happy SNOWY Friday!
Snow has been falling like crazy since yesterday,
and now we're just planning a cozy day at home, and I'm totally ok with it.

Here's a peek at our last week....
I picked up this jean shirt from Target last week and most definitely
wore it three times in one week.  (I kind of like it)
I've been working with the wonderful Dann & Chip of Rebel.Reclaimed
for two years now and feel so fortunate to be a part of such a cool shop!
this table belonged to Eric's grandparents.  It was a cherry wood and really beat up.  Some paint, distressing, sealer, and a pretty knob and it has a new life and I couldn't be happier with how this turned out!
our family's perfect no ear infection record is over.
poor buddy.
while playing in Claire's room.
I spy sight words + her dress for this weekend's daddy/daughter dance.
one day this week was non-stop sunshine and required being outside soaking it up
tie-dyed coffee filter hearts.
such a perfect project for kids!
four days a week I have to wake this boy from his morning nap to pick up his sister from school.  It completely breaks my heart, and yet, he wakes up with a smile every single day.  He's a trooper for sure.

Have a great weekend, stay warm!

Doll Clothes Storage

breakfast + shopping at the American Girl store in Chicago
~
We are officially an American Girl family now. For Claire's 5th birthday this fall, she received Kit, and for Christmas, she received all sorts of clothes to dress Kit with.  It was pretty obvious right away that we were going to need a way to organize Kit's new wardrobe.
~
If you really want to spent a fortune, you can buy this wardrobe from American Girl for a mere $349.  Or Target will gladly sell you several options for around the $50 range.  But here's what I chose to do : I went to my local grocery superstore, and picked up a curtain tension rod for $3.99.  I installed the tension rod inside of her closet going front to back, and along with some doll-sized hangers, it was all set!
I really think that having the clothes all visible like this (as opposed to thrown in a big tub like they were) has really encouraged Claire to use them more.  Almost every morning, she gets Kit dressed for the day, and I'm certain it's because they're visible and easily accessible.
And in case if you're interested, here is the other side of Claire's closet.  I installed a row of mug hooks to hang her every growing collection of jewelry.  No more big tangled messes of necklaces in her jewelry box, now each necklace has its own hook and can easily be found.
~
Hope these tips help you get your little girl organized!
