Beneath the Tree

A few weekends back brought Beneath the Tree to our town. It's an in-home craft show featuring well over 100 vendors in 12 area homes. Rebel.Reclaimed was the designer of one of the homes, so several of my products were included in the show including linen garlands, ruffle pillows, Michigan pillows and table runners.  I've been working with Rebel for nearly two years now, and I have to admit, I still have plenty of "pinch me" moments when I see my products on display!

Linen Garland

A funny thing happens when you've made as many linen pillows as I have in the last year...
you end up with a whole ton of linen scraps.And because I'm ___________ (cheap, thrifty, Dutch, resourceful) you fill in the blank, I just can't throw away fabric, no matter how large or small the piece.My best solution : a Friday night with my rotary cutter and some twine ......which yielded THREE awesome fabric garlands made of various natural linens
this was one of those turned-out-better-than-I-even-thought-it-would projects!loving it hanging on our mantle!and because good things must be shared, you can now find these linen garlands available at Rebel.reclaimed

Eames Chairs

During a little brainstorming session with Dann of Rebel.reclaimed on new designs for pillows, we knew we wanted pillows with one solid image on the front, and the idea of chairs came to me. Since I'm drawn to any chair designed by Charles and Ray Eames,
I just knew this had to be the design we went with!in the works

One Year

This month marks the one year anniversary of my products being available at Rebel.reclaimed!
What a fun year it has been!

I feel so fortunate to be a part of such an incredible shop!

And I'm not going to lie, I still get giddy when I drive by and see one of my products in the window, or when I walk in and see an entire display of my products!

Thanks so much Dann & Chip for letting me be a part of your store! You two pour your hearts into the place, and it's a huge honor for me to have a small part in it!

Indie Craft Holiday Open House

It's that time again! Join us for a night celebrating the handmade. See what Dann and the other artists have been working on in anticipation of the gift-giving season. We will be introducing several new designs along with the roll-out of our holiday collection of handmade and altered accessories and gifts. New Pillow Design

I've had this new pillow design bouncing around in my head for weeks now, and now that most of my "nesting projects" have wrapped up, I finally had time to sit at my machine and make it happen.
~
The linen that I used was inspired by this teal dresser that was available at Rebel.reclaimed...and here it is......already on display at Rebel! The pillows feature two layers of ruffly/pleated goodness and I couldn't be happier with how they turned out!

New Wreaths @ Rebel

Hi all! The blog has been a little quiet this week. We've been out in Grand Haven enjoying some family time plus taking in the events of the annual Coast Guard Festival. The last few days have been hot and h.u.m.i.d. and this pregnant girl reached her limit of no AC in our summer place. So, we're home for a one night reprieve and will head back again tomorrow.
~

Five Hours

Yesterday was a very unusual day for me....

I was kid-free.
For FIVE HOURS!

Eric was warned : the way you see the house when you leave for work
is exactly what the house will look like when you get home....
breakfast mess in the sink
beds not made
toys on the floor
~
I was off to my craft room,
and let me tell you...it was a good day!ruffle flower pillows were finisheda new product was worked on
and I pulled together my latest delivery to Rebel Reclaimed, not bad.

And after all that, I was left feeling very caught up,
(and ready to have my Claire back home!)
