On the night of Claire's first day of preschool, we had a Back to School Feast. I love having established family traditions, and am pretty confident that we just created a new one!

here's some details:
an empty can
+ a 72 pack of colored pencils
+ hot glue
+ yellow mums
= one very colorful centerpiece!

and, a cake that was intended to look like this, but came out looking like an Easter egg instead (at least it was covered in rainbow sprinkles!)

and finally, school-themed place settings and pink vintage dishes

but the best part of all???
seeing how utterly proud of herself our big preschooler was!
