So the blog has been a little quiet the last few weeks, I know.
It wasn't by design, but it's actually been kind of nice.

We spent a week in Grand Haven taking in the events of the Coast Guard festival
as well as throwing a backyard party for 50.
and now we're back home trying to cram as much as possible into our last few weeks of summer vacation including a weekend in Chicago, a week at my parent's cottage, and final trips to places like the zoo and the gardens.
so outside of occasional updates, it might just continue to be a little quiet around here for the next few weeks. And I hope you all are enjoying soaking up these last weeks weeks of summer as well!
